Our lodge has practiced catch-and-release for the past eight years, and the benefits can be readily observed in the smiling faces of our guests as they recount their day's fishing experiences back at the lodge.
For those who like a little variety in their fishing adventure, Slippery Winds offers six different species and six different lakes on which to try your luck. All are easily accessible from the main lodge and offer great fishing. These fertile waters of the southern Canadian Shield provide prime habitat for northern pike, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, lake trout and muskie.
For the bait fisherman, we provide a daily supply of premium local minnows — including the Northern Red-Bellied Dace, which has proven to be an irresistible draw for walleyes throughout the season. In addition, our tackle shop stocks a variety of the more successful lures for our lakes.
